San Miguel Beer fans can heave a sigh of relief as import Arizona Reid’s CT (X-ray computed tomography) scan result revealed no serious head injury.
“Na-confine si AZ since last night, mild concussion lang. His neck is sore, but the CT scan is normal,” San Miguel team manager Abanilla told FOX Sports on Saturday.
Reid was brought to St. Luke’s Medical Center Global City in Taguig, to undergo CT scan shortly after the team squeaked past NLEX, 94-93.
The 6-foot-4 Reid complained of dizziness during the second half after hitting his head on the floor while going hard for a layup in the third quarter against NLEX.
The long-haired SMB reinforcement managed to play through the dizziness and even made the crucial pass to Marcio Lassiter in the dying seconds.
The sweet-shooting Lassiter then, knocked down the game-winning three-point shot with 0.5 seconds left to seal the Beermen’s 2nd straight win for the conference.
“We’re just waiting for the rounds of the doctor, but we expect AZ to be discharged from the hospital by (Saturday) lunch time,” he added.
