Kobe Paras has announced on Monday (Manila time) that he has committed to Creighton University Bluejays after his pullout from UCLA due to “academic conditions” that were not met.
Paras went to Twitter to break the news of his decision.
Paras, who played for Cathedral Phantoms and Middlebrooks Basketball Academy in the Los Angeles, is set to join the Blue Jays, who are being coached by Greg McDermott.
McDermott, whose son Doug plays for Chicago Bulls in the NBA, has guided the Bluejays to a 20-15 win-loss record in the Big East. The team last made to the US NCAA tournament in 2014, during Doug’s final year with the Bluejays before he turned pro.
