Michael Calisaan admitted that he is not yet completely healed despite delivering big in limited minutes for the San Sebastian Colllege-Recoletos Stags.
“Actually, hindi pa ako 100% ngayon eh. Siguro, naninibago pa ako dahil sa mga sugat ko, ganun,” the 21-year old Calisaan told Fox Sports PH after their 81-99 loss to heavy favorite Arellano University Chiefs. “Pero syempre, binibigay ko pa rin lahat.”
Calisaan, who is coming off a facial injury sustained due to a motorcycle accident last May, hit 12 points in just 16 minutes in their loss to title contender Arellano U as he is being slowly inserted back to regular rotation by Stags coach Egay Macaraya.
The former NCAA junior Mythical Team member admitted that his confidence took a hit after the motorcycle accident.
“Naka-aapekto sa akin kasi yung kumpyansa ko medyo nabawasan. ‘Di katulad nung bago ako maaksidente, talagang 100% binubuhos ko, kada possession,” he said.
But Calisaan doesn’t want to rush things as he goes through the process of getting back his wind and rhythm.
“Inaalalayan ko lang ngayon. Yung kumpyansa ko lang, di pa masyado bumabalik.” he said.- By John Bryan Ulanday
