Jio Jalalon took over the scoring load to help Gilas Pilipinas Cadets cruise past Singapore, 81-59, on the second day of the 2016 SEABA Stankovic Cup at Bangkok Thailand.
Jalalon, Arellano’s chief playmaker, delivered 17 markers on 8-of-12 shooting along with 4 rebounds, an assist and a steal for the Nash Racela-coached national team.
Gilas Cadets grabbed early control of the game via 27-14 opening quarter scoring and never looked behind en route to their 2nd victory.
Blackwater Elite rookie Almond Vosotros contributed 14 points while Mike Tolomia of the UAAP champion Far Eastern University chipped in 12.
K. Goh led Singapore with 17 points in a losing cause.
