Raptors reduce deficit

The Toronto Raptors handed the Cleveland Cavaliers their first loss in the playoffs following a 99-84 win in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals.

After falling 2-0 behind playing in Cleveland, the Raptors bounced back on home court largely thanks to DeMar DeRozan’s 32 points, five rebounds and four assists.

DeRozan received some excellent support from point guard Kyle Lowry, who dropped 20 points, and center Bismack Biyombo as he scored seven points and pulled down 26 rebounds.

For the Cavaliers, LeBron James finished with 24 points, eight rebounds and five assists. ‘King James’ also surpassed Jason Kidd on the NBA’s all-time playoffs assists list and now sits in third place behind John Stockton and Magic Johnson.

Cavaliers point guard Kyrie Irving meanwhile was a big disappointment as he only managed to make three of the 19 shots he attempted and subsequently ended the game with 13 points.
