Yeng Guiao fined, suspended after outburst in win over Mahindra

PBA commissioner Chito Narvasa slapped a 1-game suspension and a hefty P40,000 fine on coach Yeng Guiao after incurring 2 technical fouls and getting automatic ejection during Rain or Shine’s 104-98 win over Mahindra Wednesday night.

Guiao, one of the league’s outspoken coaches, got his 1st technical foul for complaining on an offensive foul charged at rookie Maverick Ahanmishi.

He was then assessed a 2nd straight technical foul for hurling invectives at the game officials, meting an automatic ejection.

Rain or Shine though survived the absence of Guiao with assistant coach Caloy Garcia calling the shots from there.

Jeff Chan bailed the Elasto Painters after firing 14 of his 18 points in the last quarter to help ROS secure its 3rd straight win on the way to a 4-3 record.
