Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry scored 51 points and made history during his side’s 130-114 win over the Orlando Magic on Thursday.
Curry, who made 20 of his 27 shots, broke the NBA record for the most consecutive games with a three-pointer when he extended his streak to 128 games.
Evan Fournier scored 20 points for the Magic.
The Boston Celtics secured their ninth straight win on home soil after beating the Milwaukee Bucks 112-107.
Isaiah Thomas led the Celtics to victory as he dropped 27 points, dished out seven assists and recorded two steals.
Jabari Parker had 22 points for the Bucks.
A 30-point night from Anthony Davis saw the New Orleans Pelicans defeat the Oklahoma City Thunder 123-119.
Davis was well supported by Ryan Anderson, who came off the bench to score 26 points and grab six rebounds.
Russell Westbrook was the Thunder’s top-scorer with 44 points.
Over at the Talking Stick Resort Arena, an all-round performance from the Brooklyn Nets led to them triumphing over the Phoenix Suns 116-106.
Bojan Bogdanovic was the Nets’ standout player as he scored 24 points on eight of 16 shooting.
Mirza Teletovic recorded a double-double for the Suns, which consisted of 30 points and 11 rebounds.
Meanwhile, the San Antonio Spurs crushed the Utah Jazz 96-78 at the Vivint Smart Home Arena.
Kawhi Leonard starred for the Spurs as he scored 29 points on 10 of 15 shooting and pulled down five rebounds.
Jazz power forward Derrick Favors finished with 25 points and six rebounds.
Finally, the Houston Rockets had to come from behind to claim a 119-105 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers.
The Rockets found themselves 15 points down following the second quarter, but a late rally – inspired by James Harden’s 46 points – saw Houston complete a fine turnaround.
