Charlotte Hornets forward Michael Kidd-Gilchrist is set for another spell on the sidelines after re-tearing the labrum in his right shoulder.
Kidd-Gilchrist suffered the injury in the third quarter of his side’s 117-95 win over the Indiana Pacers on Wednesday.
The 22-year-old was initially diagnosed with a dislocated shoulder, but that was upgraded to a torn labrum after he underwent an MRI.
It is unclear how long Kidd-Gilchrist will be out of action for and the Hornets have said that he will be re-evaluated after All-Star Weekend, which takes place in Toronto this week.
Kidd-Gilchrist missed the first half of the season after undergoing surgery in October to repair a torn labrum, and only returned to action on January 29 against the Portland Trail Blazers. He has been limited to just seven games this season, in which he has averaged 12.7 points, 6.4 rebounds and 1.3 assists. %u200B
