NBA Wrap: Hayward hits game-winner in OT

Utah Jazz forward Gordon Hayward hit a fadeaway jump shot at the buzzer to carry his side to a 121-119 win over the Dallas Mavericks. 

Hayward finished with 20 points, five rebounds and four assists, but Rodney Hood was the Jazz’s top-scorer with 29 points.

Chandler Parsons dropped 24 points for the Mavericks.

LaMarcus Aldridge scored 28 points to lead the San Antonio Spurs to a 119-101 win over the Miami Heat.

Aldridge was well supported by Kawhi Leonard, who dropped 23 points and grabbed nine rebounds.

Dwyane Wade had 20 points for the Heat.

Meanwhile, Kurt Rambis’ debut as New York Knicks head coach got off to a poor start as his side lost to the Washington Wizards 111-108.

John Wall starred for the Wizards as he scored 28 points, grabbed five rebounds and dished out 17 assists.

Carmelo Anthony finished with 33 points and 13 rebounds for the Knicks.

Greg Monroe came off the bench to score 29 points and pull down 12 rebounds as the Milwaukee Bucks edged the Boston Celtics 112-111.

Monroe received some excellent support from Khris Middleton, who scored 20 points, grabbed five rebounds and dished out five assists.

Avery Bradley and Jae Crowder both scored 18 points in the Celtics’ loss.

Stephen Curry was once again the man of the moment, as the Golden State Warriors beat Houston Rockets 123-110 in an entertaining encounter.

The Warriors raced into a 15-point lead by the end of the first quarter, but the Rockets dominated the next two stanzas, with the scores level going into the final quarter.

Curry scored 35 points, assisted nine times and dragged down five rebounds, while James Harden scored 37 points, with five rebounds and five assists in a losing effort.
