NBA Wrap: Bryant leads Lakers past Timberwolves

Los Angeles Lakers talisman Kobe Bryant was back to his best on Tuesday night when he led his team to a 119-115 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves. 

Bryant, who made seven of the 11 three-pointers he attempted, finished with 38 points, five rebounds and five assists.

Andrew Wiggins was the Timberwolves’ top player with 30 points.

An all-round performance by Isaiah Thomas saw the Boston Celtics beat the New York Knicks 97-89.

Thomas scored 20 points, grabbed five rebounds and dished out eight assists in the Celtics’ win.

Carmelo Anthony scored 16 points and pulled down 14 rebounds for the Knicks.

A double-double from James Harden was enough to lead the Houston Rockets to a 115-102 win over the Miami Heat.

Harden dropped 26 points and dished out 14 assists, while Josh Smith and Marcus Thornton backed him up with 19 and 18 points respectively.

Amare Stoudemire was the Heat’s best player with 14 points and 10 rebounds.

Over at the Talking Stick Resort Arena, Kyle Lowry and DeMar DeRozan combined for 48 points to carry the Toronto Raptors to a 104-97 win over the Phoenix Suns.

Lowry finished with 26 points, three rebounds and four assists, while DeRozan registered 22 points, two rebounds and three assists.

Markieff Morris was the Suns’ top-scorer with 30 points on 13 of 20 shooting.

Meanwhile, the Portland Trail Blazers secured their fifth consecutive win following a 107-95 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks.

C.J. McCollum starred for the Trail Blazers as he scored 30 points on 10 of 18 shooting, grabbed four rebounds and dished out six assists.

Khris Middleton had 21 points for the Bucks.
