Phoenix Suns forward T.J. Warren has been ruled out for the remainder of the season after he broke his right foot.
Warren missed the Suns’ 91-78 loss to the Dallas Mavericks on Sunday due to a right ankle impingement. However, upon undergoing an MRI on Monday in Phoenix, it was discovered that the 22-year-old had a fracture in his foot.
It is unclear whether Warren will require surgery to repair the damage, but a league source confirmed that he will make a full recovery.
Warren, who was the 14th pick in the 2014 NBA Draft, was having a career-best year and was posting career-highs across the board, averaging 11.0 points and 3.1 rebounds per game this season.
The news about Warren is another major blow for the Suns after the team’s head coach Jeff Hornacek was sacked on Sunday, while guard Eric Bledsoe was also ruled out for the season in December after undergoing surgery to repair a torn meniscus.
