Hong Kong added to Formula E calendar

Formula E will head to Hong Kong in October 2016, subject to FIA track approval.

The second season of the Formula E gets underway in Beijing later this month, and from next year the Asian leg of the series will be extended to include Hong Kong.

Pending approval from the FIA, the race will take place on a two-kilometre track close to the Victoria Harbour.

“The Hong Kong ePrix will be one of the highlights on the FIA Formula E Championship calendar," said Formula E CEO Alejandro Agag.

"As one of the most innovative, cutting-edge and fun-loving cities in the world, Hong Kong and Formula E share many of the same qualities.

"We look forward to bringing all the fun and entertainment of Formula E to this amazing city, and international motorsport back to Hong Kong.”
