Top seeds through in Thailand

The men's top seeds had no problem in advancing to the second round of the SCG Thailand Open on Tuesday.

Top seed, local Tanongsak Saensomboonsuk, needed just 29 minutes to breeze past Matej Hlinican 21-16, 21-12 on the courts of the Nimibutr Stadium in Bangkok.

German second seed Marc Zwiebler made easy work of India's Aditya Joshi, winning 21-11, 21-12 while third seed Sai Praneeth advanced after opponent Nathaniel Ernestan Sulistyo retired hurt while down in the second game.

Fourth seed Jonatan Christie from Indonesia, fifth seed Brice Leverdez and seventh seed Zulfadli Zulkiffli all advanced without much drama.
