Fourth seed Lin Dan of China defeated Malaysian top seed Lee Chong Wei on Saturday to reach badminton’s Asia Championships final taking place in Wuhan, China.
Lin was in great form and needed 52 minutes to defeat Lee 21-13, 21-15 in what was the 37th meeting between the two.
In their head-to-head meetings, Lin has dominated having beaten Lee 26 times in their battles.
In the other men's semi-final things went according to plan as China's second seed Chen Long saw off countryman Shi Yuqi 21-19, 21-15 to set up an all-China final on Sunday.
In the women's singles semi-finals, things went according to the seeding as Chinese Taipei top seed Tai Tzu Ying saw off Korea Republic's Jang Mi Lee 21-8, 21-16.
Tai will be facing second seed Akane Yamaguchi of Japan in Sunday's final after she beat China's eighth seed He Bingjiao 21-15, 21-19.
