Top seeds Chen Long and Lin Dan advanced the second round of the Yonex German Open on Tuesday.
Long, who is seeded second, made short work of Japan's Kenta Nishimoto, defeating him 21-10, 21-9 on the courts of the Innogy Sports Hall in Mulheim an der Ruhr.
Third seed Lan Dan breezed past Siril Verma of India 21-12, 21-10. The Chinese superstar faces qualifier Mateusz Dubowski in the second round.
Elsewhere, Japan's Kanta Tsuneyama knocked out fourth seed Houwei Tian 21-15, 21-15 while fifth seed Ng Ka Long Angus beat Max Weisskirchen 21-10, 21-9.
Seventh seed Marc Zwiebler and ninth seed Hans-Kristina Solberg Vittinghus also advanced to round two in Germany.
