Frost expects successful SEA campaign

Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) Technical Director Morten Frost expects the country's shuttlers to reach four finals at the Southeast Asia Games in Singapore.

The badminton event at the SEA Games starts on Wednesday, where Malaysia's biggest rivals are expected to be Indonesia.

Whilst Hansen is confident that the Malaysian players will win medals in all the badminton events, the men's team event where Chong Wei Feng and Lee Chong Wei are representing the country, is arguably their best chance at a gold medal.

"It depends on how the tournament draw process would look like, it's not easy, but rule out the possibility of it happening," Hansen told various media representatives on Monday.

"There is no questioning Lee Chong Wei's ability to score a point in the team event. Look at his revent performance at the Sudirman Cup.

"Goh V Shem-Tan Wee Kiong are always able to lift their level of play in the team event.  They defeated Lee Yong-dae-Yoo Yeon-seong in our first Sudirman Cup tie against South Korea a few weeks ago."
