Wan Ho waltzes into semi-finals in Korea Masters

Son Wan Ho beat Hsueh Hsuan Yi 21-17, 21-15 in the quarter-finals on Friday at the Jeju Victor 2016 Korea Masters Championships.

Wan Ho got off to a quick start in the pick of the quarter-final action in the mens draw as he took the first game 21-17.

Hsuan was unable to stem the tide in the second game and so Wan Ho took it 21-15 and by winning progressed to the semi-finals of his home tournament in emphatic fashion.

His court coverage and aggressive play was far too much for Hsuan who allowed terms to be dictated to him.

In the other quarter-final matches in the mens draw there were wins for Chen Chun-Wei, Liew Daren and Parupalli Kashyap over Hwang Jong Soo, Lee Dong Keun and Jeon Hyeok Jin respectively.

In the women’s draw first seed Sung Ji Hyun beat Chen Ziaoxin 21-12, 21-15.

While Lee Jang Mi, Kim Ga Eun and Nidaira Natsuki booked semi-finals berths at the expense of Mine Ayumi, Lee Chia Hsin and Jun Joo I respectively.
