In other results, eighth seed Lee Dong Keun came back from a game down to beat Iskandar Zulkarnain Zainuddin 18-21, 21-15, 21-4, and 12th seed Tanongsak Saensomboonsuk beat lin Yu Hsien 21-11, 21-10.
