Japan's Akane Yamaguchi defeated Busanan Ongbamrungphan in the women's singles final of the Bitburger Open on Sunday.
The Japanese sensation rallied back from a game down to defeat the seventh seed 16-21, 21-14, 21-13 on the courts of the Saarlandhalle Saarbrucken in Germany.
Ongbamrungphan started off the stronger of the two, keeping Yamguchi at arm's length throughout the opening game.
The second game was another tense affair, with score being locked at 12-all. However, the fourth seed would go on a run of four points as she forced a deciding game.
That seemed to break the spirit of the Thai native, as Yamaguchi continued her form in the final game, opening up a 8-0 lead that she would never relinquish.
