The recent protests by NFL players and coaches definitely hasn’t been met with universal approval from the fans.
While the NFL and the media may be united in their opposition to the comments of US President Donald Trump, who slammed the NFL for allowing players to protest during the singing of the national anthem, many regular Americans support Trump’s position.
Some fans are so angry they have started a social media campaign with the hashtag #BurnTheNFL, posting pictures and videos of themselves incinerating NFL paraphernalia:

It remains to be seen just how big an effect the fan backlash against the protests will be. What’s clear, however, is that the issue remains a highly divisive one.
