With momentum on their side in the latter part of the game, NU melted under pressure anew, leaving head coach Roger Gorayeb puzzled about what went wrong.

“They lost their composure, hindi ko alam bakit.

Down by 2 sets, the Lady Bulldogs made an inspired comeback to push the match to a decider.

But the Sampaloc squad folded in the most crucial of times, allowing the Golden Tigresses to snatch away the victory.

Ang laki ng lamang nila, yun ang pinagtataka ko lang,” shared Gorayeb, after his squad blew an 11-6 lead in the 5th frame.

With the Bulldogs’ 3-game winning streak snapped, Gorayeb took the blame in the current meltdown of his squad.

Gorayeb emphasized they needed to be consistent on their mentality to be a real threat in the league.

“Makakarecover naman yan, pero sabi ko nga ‘why do we have to learn things the hard way?’. — By Jason Mercene
