NBA: Wizards halt streaking Thunder

A day after Kevin Durant's scoring streak came to an end, the Oklahoma City Thunder's winning run did too as they lost 96-81 to the Washington Wizards.

Durant, whose run of 30-point games was ended at 12 24 hours earlier, scored 26 points in Saturday's defeat but managed only eight-for-21 shooting and missed all six three-point attempts.

Trevor Ariza led the Wizards with 18 points, while John Wall had 17 points and 15 assists and Marcin Gortat added 14 points and 14 rebounds to help deal the Thunder their first loss in 11 games.

LeBron James poured in 30 points to lift the Miami Heat to a 106-91 win over the New York Knicks.

James also contributed eight rebounds and seven assists, while Dwayne Wade chipped in with 22 points.

LaMarcus Aldridge had 27 points and 15 rebounds as the Portland Trail Blazers beat the Toronto Raptors 106-103.

The loss was tough on DeMar DeRozan, who had 36 points and 12 assists for the Raptors.

The Indiana Pacers got 20 points apiece from Paul George and Roy Hibbert in a 97-96 win over the Brooklyn Nets.

Tim Duncan inspired the San Antonio Spurs to a 95-93 win over the Sacramento Kings with 23 points and 17 rebounds.

The Houston Rockets beat the Cleveland Cavaliers 106-92, the Detroit Pistons eased past the Philadelphia 76ers 113-96 and the Atlanta Hawks were 120-113 winners over the Minnesota Timberwolves.

There were also wins for the New Orleans Pelicans, the Memphis Grizzlies, the Phoenix Suns and the Los Angeles Clippers.
