NHL: Avalanche rally to seal 10th straight win

Paul Stastny had a goal and an assist as the Colorado Avalanche got their 10th win of the season by beating the Winnipeg Jets 3-2.

Matt Duchene and Jan Hejda also tallied for Colorado and Gabriel Landeskog had two assists, helping the Avalanche rally from 2-1 down in the third.

The Avalanche took their season record to 10-1-0, continuing their best ever start to a season.

The San Jose Sharks also reached 10 wins as goalie Alex Stalock helped them to a 5-2 victory over the Ottawa Senators in his first NHL start.

Stalock made 38 saves, to back up goals from Tomas Hertl, Andrew Desjardins, Tommy Wingels, James Sheppard and Joe Pavelski.

Corey Perry scored with 2:25 remaining to give the Anaheim Ducks a 4-3 win over the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Ryan Getzlaf, Peter Holland and Emerson Etem also scored for Anaheim, who halted the Blue Jackets' three-game winning streak.

Elsewhere the Los Angeles Kings beat the Edmonton Oilers 2-1 and the Tampa Bay Lightning were 4-3 winners over the Florida Panthers, both via shootouts.
