“Upul will be arriving tonight but Jeevan will be out for a minimum of two to three weeks. So he’ll be out and going back after this game,” said Mathews at the MCG on Wednesday.
“Upul will be in contention (for Bangladesh) but we will among the management and selectors decide if we want to play him or not.”
Tharanga, 30, has played 176 one-day internationals in which he has scored 5,339 runs at an average of 33.57.
