Kirk climbs in rankings

Kirk climbed six places after his victory at the Colonial Country Club in Fort Worth.

Rory McIlroy may have missed the cut at Wentworth, but easily retained the No. 1 spot. Jordan Spieth closed the gap slightly thanks to his second place finish behind Kirk.

In third is Henrik Stenson followed by Bubba Watson, Jim Furyk and Justin Rose. 

Sergio Garcia climbed above Jason Day with Garcia up to seventh and Day down to eighth.

Rickie Fowler is ninth followed by Dustin Johnson, Adam Scott, Jimmy Walker, J.B. Holmes, Hideki Matsuyama and Patrick Reed.

Martin Kaymer jumped by two spots to 16th and was followed by Kirk.

Matt Kuchar and Phil Mickelson were both down two spots to 18th and 19th, respectively. Billy Horschel is sitting at 20th.

Former U.S. Amateur winner Byeong Hun An claimed his first European Tour title at the BMW PGA Championship. He soared 78 spots to No. 54 in the new rankings.
