NHL Wrap: Washington keep hot streak going

The Washington Capitals were 5-2 winners over the New Jersey Devils in NHL action for their 13th win in 16 games.

Evgeny Kuznetsov scored twice, in the second and third periods, for the Capitals.

The Minnesota Wild crushed the St Lois Blues 5-1 and the Nashville Predators handed the Columbus Blue Jackets another loss when defeating them 4-3.

In other NHL action, the Boston Bruins sent the reigning Stanley Cup champions the Pittsburgh Penguins crashing 4-3 and the New York Islanders defeated the Montreal Canadiens 3-1 to keep up their great form.

The Edmonton Oilers, the Arizona Coyotes, the Winnipeg Jets, the Calgary Flames, the Florida Panthers, the Los Angeles Kings, the Dallas Stars and the Philadelphia Flyers also won their games.
