CIMB Classic defending champion Ryan Moore is confident about his prospects of winning a third consecutive title at the Kuala Lumpur Golf Club this weekend.
When Tiger Woods was at his peak, the notion that a player could dominate a particular tournament or venue appeared perfectly plausible. However, Moore is now on the brink of achieving what is now regarded as a rare feat.
The American will not allow the magnitude of the occasion to distract him though.
"It's hard to figure out why I've had the success that I have in this tournament or on this course particularly, but obviously, I hope it continues," said Moore on Wednesday.
"I won the last two years, so I don't have that much to prove, necessarily. But you always go into tournaments wanting to win, wanting to play well, and that doesn't change," added Moore.
