Andrew Bogut won't feature for the Golden State Warriors until he has passed the NBA's concussion protocol after taking a blow to the head on Tuesday night.
The Australian was wearing a protective facemask from the start of Golden State's 111-95 season-opening win over the New Orleans Pelicans due to a broken nose, but would sustain further damage in the third quarter.
Bogut suffered a cut above his right eye which forced him to leave the court, and he did not return. The Warriors later confirmed that he had also sustained a concussion.
As a result, he won't be back in action until he is symptom-free, in line with the NBA's concussion protocol.
