Bruins cruise past Penguins

The Boston Bruins earned a 3-0 win over the Pittsburgh Penguins on Wednesday courtesy of Tuukka Rask's 30th career shut-out.

With 34 shots saved, Rask's role was key to keeping Boston on top, with goals coming from Max Talbot, Jimmy Hayes and Ryan Spooner.

For Pittsburgh, new coach Mike Sullivan has gone two games without a win since taking over, following up a 4-1 loss to the Washington Capitals on Monday with another display where his team struggled with firepower.

The Capitals won a third straight game on Wednesday, beating the Ottawa Senators 2-1 with goals from Michael Latta and John Carlson.

Bobby Ryan what proved to be a late consolation against the team with the best record in the Eastern Conference.
