The Baltimore Orioles have reportedly signed South Korean outfielder Kim Hyun-Soo on a two-year deal, pending a medical exam.
The Major League Baseball club has not confirmed the deal, which was originally reported in the Baltimore Sun.
A left-handed hitter, Hyun-Soo has a batting average of .318 over 10 seasons with the Doosan Bears, with a career-high 28 home runs and 121 runs-batted-in this past season.
At the end of the Korea Baseball Organization (KBO) season, he became a free agent.
He reportedly had better offers to stay in Korea than what the Orioles offered him but wanted to test himself in the MLB.
