Rodgers was delighted with the way his side played on Sunday despite the condition of the pitch, which looked worn around the touchline and goalmouth areas.
The 41-year-old insists his players put the conditions out of their mind and performed admirably to pick up a point from behind against the Gunners.
Rodgers told Sports after the game: “It was an outstanding performance, the quality of our passing and moving on a terrible pitch, the pitch is awful here.
“But I thought the players put that to the side, and the passing, interchange and movement against a good side was fantastic.
“We thoroughly deserved to be at least one up in the first half, but we made bad decisions defensively.”
Liverpool return to Anfield next Monday to face Swansea, the 16th game at Anfield this season including summer friendlies.??
