Mike Bryan became the most decorated men's doubles player in history on Sunday when he and brother Bob won the China Open.

Tennis News: Mike Bryan.

A 6-3 6-2 victory for the Bryans over Carlos Berlocq and Denis Istomin gave Mike an 84th ATP-level title of his career, taking him past Todd Woodbridge's tally of 83. Bob has 82 titles.

"It's obviously an honour to hold this prestigious record," Mike told the official ATP website.

"There are some incredible names towards the top of this list and it's humbling to be in such elite company. Huge props must go out to Todd Woodbridge, who epitomised class and excellence on and off the court."

Victory in Beijing for the 34-year-old twins was their seventh on the ATP World Tour this season.
