The defending champion hurt her hip during the Brisbane International last week, disrupting her preparation for the first Grand Slam event of the season.
Clijsters, who had impressed prior to withdrawing midway through her semi-final clash with Daniela Hantuchova, was quizzed about her fitness on Saturday and said: "I'm doing good.
"I think what happened in Brisbane was something that I knew would only need a few days to get better and it did."
The popular Belgian feels the tournament is open and drew on the fact that last year the four Slams were shared out between four different players - herself, Li Na, Petra Kvitova and Sam Stosur.
Clijsters added: "Of the four girls who won last year, besides Serena (Williams), who is probably more powerful than us, it's very close.
"So I think on any given day, whoever plays that little bit better can win."
