Top seed Tipsarevic was a 6-1 6-4 winner over Soeda while Raonic enjoyed a 6-4 6-4 victory over second seed Nicolas Almagro, of Spain.

Tipsarevic was expected to go through against an opponent ranked 120th in the world and he kept to form with a straight-sets win.

Breaks of serve in the second and fourth games were enough to give the Serbian the first set.

In the second set Soeda, who had beaten defending champion Stanislas Wawrinka in the semi-finals, traded breaks with Tipsarevic before the Serbian broke serve in the seventh to make it to an eighth tour final.

Raonic, the fourth seed, hit 17 aces, including three in the final game, as he made his way to the final.

Raonic had to save four break points to reach the third final of his career.
