Cycling: Contador takes sixth stage
Alberto Contador shed the attentions of race leader Daniel Diaz to take the sixth stage of the Tour de San Luis on Saturday.
The Spaniard had just enough left to beat Luiz to the line by two seconds on the Mirador del Sol, with Alex Diniz level with Diaz at the finish.
It was a fine display of riding from Contador, who attacked the lead group close to the end and Diaz was the only one capable of going with him.
Diaz remains in the overall lead, though, 33 seconds clear of Tejay van Garderen, with Diniz third.
