The weighing-in for the Dragon Fire World Championship at the Marina Bay Sands on Thursday afternoon was witnessed by a healthy number of fans ahead of Friday's fight night.
Christian carefully manouevered his prized fighter through the throngs of adoring fans, before declaring that he was quietly confident about Chris 'The Dragon' John's chances against his Thai opponent, Chonlatarn Piriyapinyo.
"This is unprecedented, to have fighters with both their undefeated records of 44 (Piriyapinyo) wins against 47 (John) wins." Christian told ESPN STAR.
"Chris however, belongs to a whole different class of fighters. He is regarded as a future Asian Boxing Hall of Fame entrant and it shows."
Evidently, confidence runs high in the Chris John camp as he entered the weigh-in area to specially composed Indonesian Rap, proof of his legendary status in the country.
"John does not have a big punch but he is definitely the man to last through all 12 rounds." added Christian when asked about John's fight plan.
A club and pub fighter in Perth, Christian knows all about the school of hard knocks and started his career with the same principals.
"A gentleman asked me to train him back in 2002. We did it in my hometown gym and I loved it. When you start doing what you love you tend to get better at it and that's how I worked my way up until now.
"Like everthing else in the world, it helps if you just use common sense and keep it simple." said the trainer who also happens to be one of the owners of the Dragon Fire series.
"Our intent is to make Singapore the hub for boxing together with the people from Marina Bay Sands.
"Next year we plan to have more big fights in Singapore, some in Jakarta, Thailand and China. We are putting a big group together for Dragon Fire where we align together and support each other to bring our the best of Asian boxing. We're committed to making Asia as competitive as can be with America.
"We put on a double header last time, never seen before in Asia, and again this time so you have to say that right now Singapore is the hub of boxing in Asia without a doubt."
Tickets for the Dragon Fire World Championship Boxing on Friday, November 9 are available at the Marina Bay Sands website as well as Sistic.
