Vonn completed the downhill and slalom stages in a combined time of two minutes, 28.35 seconds, to finish 0.41 ahead of Slovenia's Tina Maze, her closest rival in the overall standings.

Austria's Nicole Hosp came in third, 0.58 behind Vonn and a further half-second ahead of compatriot Kathrin Zettel.

Vonn racked up a substantial lead in the downhill run, allowing her to survive a poor slalom in which she finished only fifth with a time one second off that of Maze.

Vonn took 100 World Cup points to move 302 clear of Maze.
