The Spaniard suffered the injury to his left collarbone in a crash in practice for tomorrow's Dutch TT at Assen.

It ruled him out of the race, but his Yamaha Factory Racing announced today that Lorenzo would return to Holland to link back up with his team.

"After completing successful surgery last night, Jorge Lorenzo was assessed by the medical team in Barcelona this morning and declared fit to fly," the team said in a statement.

"As a result the world champion has made the decision to return immediately to Assen to spend the remainder of the Grand Prix weekend with his team."
