The F1 head honcho was happy to see Nico Hulkenberg and Paul di Resta end the European Grand Prix at Valencia within the top ten. It demonstrates remarkable progress for the duo who are participating in only their second Formula 1 season.
The owner of Royal Challengers Bangalore spoke to formula1.com and confessed that he was hoping for similar performances, and even a podium finish.
Calling the Silverstone circuit the team's second home, he believes that Force India is improving as a racing outfit and expects more in the coming races.
When asked if upgrades had been specifically commissioned for the British race, he replied: "We regard Silverstone as one of our home races. Our headquarters is just a stone's throw from the track.
"It is our home race in Europe and of course the Indian Grand Prix is our real home race in India.
"We will do whatever it takes to bring as many upgrades as possible to be even more competitive.
"We want to be on the podium. I think we're close to it now."
He also confessed that he was content with his gamble on youth and believes his team have two talented drivers on their roster.
"I think we have two potential world champions in this team," he agreed.
"They are both exceptionally talented. I am very delighted to have them."
The British Grand Prix takes place on July 8 and Force India are currently in eighth place on the Constructors' Standings, well ahead of Caterham, Marussia, HRT and Toro Rosso.
