All eyes were tuned to the Sultan Mohammad IV Stadium given the high-profile nature of the clash which saw Kelantan, the treble-winning dominant force of last season, take on Harimau Selatan, who many have tipped as the rising force in Malaysian football.

Eight minutes before halftime, the hosts drew first blood when star forward Norfarhan Muhammad netted with a fantastic strike from the edge of the area.

Desperate to avoid a second defeat of the campaign, Darul Takzim boss Fandi Ahmad brought Dani Guiza on in the second half and it proved an inspired move as the ex-Spain international equalised with an exquisite freekick in the 63rd minute to earn his side a share of the spoils.

Pahang remain top of the table after continuing their perfect start to the season with an impressive 2-1 win over Negri Sembilan at the Darulmakmur Stadium.

Fauzi Roslan netted in the 27th minute to hand his side the lead, before Faizol Hussein added a second 14 minutes from time to wrap up all three points for the hosts, although Negri managed an 89th-minute consolation thanks to a Hazri Rozali own-goal.

Although it is still early days in the season, Tok Gajah have already claimed their fair share of scalps after an opening-day 3-2 win over Darul Takzim was followed by a 1-0 triumph at FELDA United, before Tuesday's equally-impressive victory.

Pahang are also the only side that have picked up maximum points from the opening three rounds after LIONSXII fell to a shock 1-0 defeat at PKNS FC.

Following a goalless opening 45, the hosts took the lead in the 78th minute when substitute Nazrin Syamsul scored with a stunning 30-yard effort.

To add insult to injury, LIONSXII were reduced to ten men in injury time when striker Fazrul Nawaz received a straight red for a lunging tackle on Khairu Azrin Khazali.

Terengganu, who drew their opening two games, also saw their unbeaten start ended as they fell to a 2-1 home loss to Selangor.

Seven minutes in, Malaysia international S. Kunanlan opened the scoring for the Red Giants when he swept home a right-wing cross from six yards, before turning provider in the 17th minute when he laid the ball off to Amri Yahyah, who proceeded to net with a rocket of a strike from the edge of the area.

Two minutes later, the Turtles pulled one back when Jean-Emmanuel Effa Owona received a pass from Ashaari Shamsuddin and took his marker out of the equation with a brilliant turn, before blasting a shot past Sharbinee Allawee Ramli.

But despite there being plenty of time left in the game, Terengganu were unable to find a second and left the Sultan Ismail Nasiruddin Shah Stadium empty-handed.

ATM made it two wins on the trot following Saturday's triumph over PKNS by comfortably beating T-Team 3-0.

Shukor Adan opened the scoring three minutes after the break with a header, before further strikes from Rezal Zambery Yahya and Marlon Alex James added the gloss on an impressive performance from B. Sathianathan's charges.

Finally, a controversial goal from Lebanon international Mohammed Ghaddar handed FELDA United record a 1-0 away win over Perak.
