Mancini: Buying players not a solution
Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini feels his side are talented enough to defend their title and is not looking to the January transfer window for reinforcements.

The Citizens are often touted as the most likely participants during transfer windows due to the largesse of their Abu Dhabi club owners.
This season, however, they cannot possibly state that there is a need for a new forward to bring in the goals as they already have four renowned marskmen in Edin Dzeko, Mario Balotelli, Carlos Tevez and Sergio Aguero.
Nevertheless, it is in the attacking department that City trail rivals Manchester United as the league leaders have scored a whopping 48 goals from their first 19 matches .
Mancini admits that his side have failed to fire on all cylinders this term but backs his team to shine if his strikers bury their chances with greater regularity from now on.
"We can't keep thinking of bringing players in. We have a good team, good strikers, but we need them to be strong when they get a chance," he told Manchester Evening News.
"We still have a big problem that we don't score, and we need to change. Maybe we need to play without a striker, or with just one striker. We need to do something. If we want to win this championship we need to score like we did last year.
"We have top strikers, but maybe we are too soft when we get a chance because we think we have good players and maybe we feel we will score the next chance that comes along.
"We have four top strikers, and it is time that those top strikers started to score. That is what they are there for, to score goals."
The Italian is also in trouble for his post-match comments after his club's 1-0 defeat to Sunderland at the Stadium of Light. The FA have stated that they will investigate comments made by Mancini criticising referee Kevin Friend's performance in the game.
Mancini appeared to be frustrated that Friend did not not spot a foul in the build-up to Adam Johnson's goal in the game and sardonically commented: "The referee ate too much for Christmas. He was not in good form."
"He and the linesman, I think, after Christmas, it can happen to have a bad performance like today [Wednesday]."
