MLS: Salt Lake held in Seatlle
Real Salt Lake could only close the gap to Western Conference leaders the San Jose Earthquakes to eight points after a goalless draw at 10-man Seattle.
The Sounders had Zach Scott sent off after half an hour but were able to hold out for a draw.
They remain three points behind Real Salt Lake in third in the standings.
