Azarenka strolls into last eight in Linz
Victoria Azarenka continued the form that saw her win the China Open as she crushed Romania's Simona Halep to reach the quarter-finals of the Generali Ladies tournament.
The world number one needed just 54 minutes to beat the Romanian 6-1 6-1 and set up a last eight meeting with Croatia's Petra Martic in Linz, who beat home favourite Patricia Mayr-Achleitner 6-2 3-6 6-0.
Serbian second seed Ana Ivanovic was a 6-4 6-3 winner over Germany's Andrea Petkovic in 81 minutes, and will next face Belgium's in-form Kirsten Flipkens, who beat American qualifier Mallory Burdette 4-6 6-1 7-5.
There was better news for another American qualifier, Bethanie Mattek-Sands, who beat Carla Suarez-Navarro of Spain 6-3 6-3 and will next play Romania's Irina-Camelia Begu, a 6-4 7-6 (9/7) winner over Holland's Kiki Bertens.
