The Swan Yamaha rider took two fine wins at the Cheshire circuit on Monday and was delighted to have made it three from three for the weekend.

Hill said: "That was fantastic - my first hat-trick in the series. It is just great to come out on top like this.

"They kept me honest out there and I had to ride as hard as I could across the whole weekend - they wanted to beat me, and I was determined they were not going to."

Hill held off the early challenge of team-mate Noriyuki Haga before taking the race one victory from the Tyco Suzuki of Josh Brookes and the Rapid Solicitors Kawasaki of Shane Byrne.

Fourth went to Michael Laverty (Samsung Honda) ahead of Haga and Ian Lowry (Padgetts Honda).

Hill repeated his win in race two from Byrne, Brookes, Haga, Laverty and Alex Lowes.
