Camacho, a former Real Madrid manager, took his side to Seville for a friendly and nearly upset the odds in the first half when his side looked dangerous on the break. They could have even scored the lead had striker Zheng Zhi not missed after managing to round Spain keeper Iker Casillas early on.
In the second half, an under-strength Spain squad managed to bounce back and assert control as manager Vicente del Bosque introduced Andres Iniesta and Juan Mata.
The Barcelona midfielder set up David Silva for the winner six minutes before the end as he dribbled down the left flank skipping past a number of challenges before cutting it back for his compatriot to slot in from close range.
Camacho was impressed even as the goal scored against his young charges prevented him from earning a respectable draw against the reigning world champions.
Seeing Iniesta put his defence to shame, Camacho declared that the 28-year-old was that rare commodity amongst midfielders: a dangerous and unpredictable threat.
"Only he knows how to do these things!" exclaimed Camacho.
He also told reporters that the current Spain side was capable of winning the Euros for more reasons than just having an impressive tactical system. He lauded their self-belief and passion for the game and believes that this has been translated into exemplary performances on the pitch.
Camacho, who has also managed La Furia Roja in the past, confessed that he was hoping for a Spain win in Poland and Ukraine and revealed that he gave his best wishes to Del Bosque in the aftermath of the game.
"Spain believe in what they do; they have absolute confidence in their style of play," the 56-year-old said.
"I wished good luck to [Vicente] Del Bosque and congratulated him [on the win]."
Spain are in Group C alongside Italy, Ireland and Croatia. They play Italy on June 10 in their first match at the Euros and then take on Republic of Ireland and Croatia as they seek to become the first side in history to win three consecutive major international tournaments.
