Lydia Ko retained her Canadian Women's Open title after a sensational final round of 64.

Ko birdied five of her last nine holes in her six-under-par round for her second success in this competition at the Royal Mayfair Golf Club in Edmonton.

That took the New Zealander to 15 under par over overall for a five shot victory over closest challenger Karine Icher of France, who struck a three-under-par 67 on Sunday.

Overnight leader Caroline Hedwall had to settle for a tie for third on nine under overall after a disappointing 71 in her final round.

That left the Swede alongside Brittany Lincicome, whose fellow American Stacy Prammanasudh and South Korea's KI Kim finished one shot further back.
