Sweden scored four goals in the last half hour of their World Cup qualifier match to complete an amazing comeback against a stunned German side on Tuesday.

Strikes from Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Mikael Lustig, Johan Elmander and Rasmus Elm were enough to cancel out strikes from Miroslav Klose [2], Per Mertesacker and Mesut Ozil as the Blågult remained three points behind Die Mannschaft in their World Cup qualifying group.

Schweinsteiger, one of the players who featured for Germany in the incredible game, was understandably less than impressed with the final result and hinted at complacency as the main reason for the team's collapse.

Speaking to ARD, the 28-year-old said: "I do not understand it.

"Nowadays it is already not [good] enough when two or three players do not run enough.

"But with us, everybody was one step behind. And so you concede four goals against Sweden.

"Never in a lifetime could we not have won this match. I do not remember this ever happening to us.

"I honestly do not care [what the media and public will say now]."

Toni Kroos agreed with his Bayern Munich team-mate's sentiments and also hailed Sweden's fighting spirit.

"This is hard to explain to be honest," Kroos said.

"Anything can happen, when everything seems to be over.

"Sweden fought for every metre and we were not able to get back on track.

"Everything [seemed to be] working for us.

"We played beautiful football and scored brilliant goals. Then you start to think that everything will take care of itself. That is the mistake.

"We should have followed through until the end. This should not happen to a team like ours."

Die Mannschaft will face Kazakhstan, a team ranked 147 in the world, in their next World Cup qualifying match.
