Park, who took over as captain of the national team after the 2011 Asian Cup, joined the Gunners at the start of the season but has been restricted to six appearances all season, despite being injury-free all campaign long.
And while he used to be one of the first names on Korea Republic Choi Kang-hee's starting XI, his lack of game time for Arsenal means he will now be absent for the upcoming qualifiers against Qatar and Lebanon at the start of June, as well as a friendly against Spain on May 30.

Choi has brought in 12 new faces from the last squad he named, including Hamburg's Son Heung-min, Sunderland's Ji Dong-won and Basel youngster Park Joo-ho.
