Hiddink set to take Holland job post-Brazil

Guus Hiddink has announced he is on course to take over as Holland manager after the World Cup.

The former Russia and South Korea coach said he was in talks with the KNVB, the Dutch Football Association, over the make-up of his backroom team.

Louis van Gaal will lead the Dutch side in Brazil this summer, but has been linked with a return to club manager, in particular the Premier League, after the tournament.

"I am working with the KNVB to create a coaching team around me. We will need a few days or maybe weeks for the process," Hiddink told Dutch broadcaster NOS.

The 67-year-old left his role in charge of Russian side Anzhi Makhachkala last summer.

He has previously managed Holland from 1994-98, taking them to the semi-finals of the World Cup in France.
