The Choa Chu Kang-based side, who are currently coached by V. Selvaraj, officially announced the name change on Sunday afternoon at their pre-season community fanfare event.

The Warriors also took the opportunity to unveil their playing roster for 2013 to the public, including ex-Japan international Kazuyuki Toda, who was joined the club as their marquee player for the new season.

Other new faces include ex-Home United captain Shi Jiayi and LIONSXII trio Sufian Anuar, Hyrulnizam Juma'at and Abdil Qaiyyim.

With all S.League clubs allowed a maximum of five foreign signings this year, the Warriors have managed to retain the services of striker Mislav Karoglan, centre-back Marin Vidosevic, and Japanese midfield duo Shimpei Sakurada and Tatsuro Inui, despite the big-name arrival of Toda.

The arrival of Sufian also means they will have no problems filling the void left by Singapore international Fazrul Nawaz, who was moved in the opposite direction to join Malaysia Super League outfit LIONSXII.
